The events on April 16, 2007 at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA took us all by storm. Like you, I read the account of the 32 victims murdered by Seung-Hui Cho. Not only did 33 people have their lives tragically cut short, but how many dreams were ended prematurely? Many people go to the grave without fulfilling their dreams.
As a personal brand each of us has a mission, something specific that we are created for. Imagine watching the Masters without Tiger, talk TV without Oprah, or business without Bill Gates. What if they were never born, or what they were born to do was never accomplished? What if they went to the grave full of ideas and dreams instead of emptying themselves by fulfilling them?
When I first read the story, I didn’t just think about the people whose lives were lost, I thought about how many dreams, companies, leaders, products, and inventions were destroyed. My question to you is how many of you will allow your dream to die in you? Will you live your dream or only dream about how you wanted to live?
